📚 I didn't start out writing romance.

Before Gull Island, I spent years guiding students from kindergarten through college with learning differences and writing children's books as Cat Michaels.
​
Helping readers has always been part of my journey..

🍕 Pizza and peaches may actually be my love language

​Mushroom-and spinach, thin-crust, wood fired. A packed antipasto salad. 

And homemade peach crisp.

Some of my best story ideas have been fueled by all three.

📖 I've always been a reader

​My parents read to me every night before I was old enough to climb onto their lap,
Today, my TBR pile is mostly digital.

Because there's only so much room in one house. And I hate dusting.

💙  Secret to a happy marriage

Hub picks the Blue Ridge every time.
I'm happiest with sand between my toes.
​
Living in central  North Carolina means we never have to choose.
We happily do both 😊.
