Cat's Corner
Blogging About Books, Writing, Travel, Film & More
Instead of a BLOG this week,
I'm doing something different here on Cat's Corner. It's a VLOG!
Several weeks ago, DigiWriting.com invited me to guest post on their blog series, "I Am a Writer," to share writing tips and inspiration. Because I wanted to learn more about using videos as a author, they took a chance and agreed to let me try. A vlog was born!
It was a long journey to learn all the techniques to produce a video on iMovie that combined visuals, narration and music. I came close to giving up in frustration, but I'm glad I stuck with it. As a reader, I hope you'll enjoy that extra element of actually hearing a writer's voice.
Big shout out to DigiWriting.com for inviting me to create my video response to a list of five questions about what makes me tick as a writer. I talk about my first stories (Old West) and inspirations (Star Trek and Elmo!). Please give a listen by clicking on the button below.
Please note:
I'm posting my next blog early next week, before the Memorial Day Holiday, and then I'm taking time off from blogging until 15 June. I'm having oral surgery done (not fun), and then I'm off to Book Expo America (BEA) in New York and a visit afterward with Dad in Connecticut (lottsa fun!).
Please join the conversation in the comment section.
What do you think about using videos as a form of blogging? Are videos a better way to help you 'know' an author?
Don't miss a post!
