April 23 marks the 450th anniversary of William Shakespeare's birth. Kid-friendly versions of the Bard's works are readily available, thanks to Charles and Mary Lamb and their prose adaptation for children, "Tales from Shakespeare." (My love of reading and writing was nurtured by Lambs' book when I first discovered it in fourth grade.) Their book is great prep for high school and college English lit papers, too. Best of all, Lambs' book is free in the public domain (in the USA). Plus, today's technology makes it available in different formats. Find free downloads of Lambs' "Tales from Shakespeare" here:
