This small-city gal is headed to the Big Apple on Tuesday to attend Book Expo America (BEA) 2014. Cannot wait to meet other indies, writerly professionals, and learn, learn, learn from this conference. What a concept: meeting people live and in person instead of virtually -:D. Especially looking forward to the breakfast for children's authors, where I will be too excited to eat!

Need a great beach book for your young readers? Please check out more of the review for Finding Fuzzy on MDBR.com. Plus, you can enter a giveaway for a signed copy of Finding Fuzzy and a $10 Amazon gift card. Offer ends 1 June. "My Bottom Line: Finding Fuzzy is an early chapter book featuring the opportunity for children to create their own ending to a sweet, summertime story. The main character, Jenna, has a decision to make when she discovers that her beloved stuffed bunny she had lost is now being used to protect a litter of kittens. After weighing out all of the possible outcomes, it is up to the reader to decide what happens next in the story. I thought this was a unique concept that will interest children, especially ones who are interested in writing their own stories (like my daughter!). I recommend this book to parents, homeschoolers, and teachers with children between the ages of 5 and 10." Some pretties from my spring garden and a wish from Oscar Wilde to lift your weekend. Now, if I could only find Fuzzy!
